Good news in the cookie world, the Girl Scouts of America have gone Gluten-Free.
With the number of diagnosed Celiac sufferers on the rise, the Girls Scouts have decided to take action. Along with the traditional Samoas and Thin Mints, the Scouts will also offer a Gluten-Free Chocolate Chip Shortbread cookie. Produced by ABC Bakers, these cookies will be made in a Gluten-Free factory and made of rice and tapioca flours.
The cookies are currently available in select cities. A complete list can be found HERE
So the next time a doe-eyed darling in green asks you if you would like to buy some cookies, don’t worry about having to turn her down because of a food allergy.
