You’ve got to be crazy not to have a serious chocolate craving from time to time. This super simple gluten free flourless chocolate cake recipe is sure to put your craving in place.
Blogger Cheryl Hurley at thestylistquo.com has concocted an easy, gooey, chocolatey, and irresistible treat that can be made in minutes and talked about for weeks to come!
With out hesitation, I decided to give this dessert a go. This treat proved to be a winner in both ease and taste!
4 ounces semi sweet chocolate, chopped or chips
1/2 cup butter (a standard stick)
3/4 cup white sugar
1/2 cup cocoa powder
3 eggs, beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Preheat oven to 300 degrees F. Grease an 8″ round cake pan and dust with cocoa powder. Coat evenly. I added a dash of sugar to the pan, simply to add an extra barrier, and a bit of a sweet crunch.
Chop 4 ounces chocolate, or simply use chips.
Melt butter and chocolate until smooth. You can use a microwave on low for 30 seconds, stirring frequently, or use a double boiler on a light simmer. While the microwave may seem like a quick and easy option, the double boiler allows for a constant stir and a slow melt, which decreases the chance of the quick and dry burn you often see when melting chocolate in a microwave. To be safe, I chose the boiler.
Remove from heat and add sugar, cocoa powder, eggs and vanilla.
Pour into pan.
Bake for 30 minutes. Let cool in pan for 10 minutes, then onto a wire rack until completely cooled.
Garnish simply with powdered sugar. This treat is rich and gooey, and amazing on its own.
Congratulations, you have successfully satisfied that chocolate craving of yours with an easy and Gluten Free treat!
